Welcome to AIL Barcelona
Hello! My name is Chris Haworth, and I am proud to introduce myself as the Director of AIL Barcelona. I would like to share with you the story of our Spanish language school and the reasons why it has become the top choice for so many students in this beautiful city.
AIL Barcelona was born as the next chapter following the success of our schools in Madrid and Málaga, solidifying an educational model that combines academic excellence with cultural immersion, thereby expanding the AIL family.
Our journey in Barcelona began with the acquisition of Olé Languages in 2023, a renowned language school established in 2005 in the heart of the city. This acquisition marked the creation of AIL Barcelona, blending the expertise and legacy of Olé Languages with our dynamic and distinctive approach.
Since then, we have worked tirelessly to deliver a unique educational experience, tailored to meet the needs of every student. AIL Barcelona is much more than a language school; it is a transformative learning space where Spanish education intertwines with the rich cultural tapestry of this iconic city.

2005 - The birth of Olé Barcelona
Olé Barcelona was founded in 2005 with the goal of providing students with the tools they need to achieve their Spanish learning objectives while enjoying a unique experience in the vibrant city of Barcelona.
2023 - Expansion to Barcelona: Co-branding with AIL Barcelona
AIL expanded its presence to Barcelona through the acquisition of Olé Barcelona, a renowned Spanish language school. Co-branded as AIL Barcelona, the school is located in the city center and welcomes over 1,000 students annually. It offers a rich and immersive experience that blends Spanish and Catalan cultures, providing students with a comprehensive and dynamic learning environment.
2023 - AIL Barcelona Earns Socially Responsible School Accreditation from FEDELE
AIL Barcelona was accredited as a Socially Responsible School by FEDELE, joining AIL Madrid and AIL Málaga in receiving this distinction.
2024 - AIL Barcelona becomes an official SIELE exam center
AIL Barcelona was authorized as an Official SIELE Exam Center, offering students an international certification of their Spanish proficiency.
Partnership with BLC Spain: Innovation and excellence in education
AIL Español expanded its educational offerings through its partnership with BLC Spain, an innovative program that combines international business management with Spanish language proficiency. In collaboration with the European University of the Atlantic, BLC Spain provides students with a unique and immersive educational experience.
